Disable notifications on RC Server connections

To disable all notifications on the RC Server, set its parameters as written below. Thereafter, restart the
RC Server service to apply the new settings.

Note:

The user sitting at the remote desktop will not be made aware of a session being initiated. Make sure this configuration does not compromise your company-policy in relation to monitoring user’s desktops.

Note:

The RC Server connections will still be logged on the remote machine.


Option: Do not confirm on incoming connections

Configure either through:
  • RC Server install option:
    uncheck 'Require users permission for connections' (msi-package unattended parameter, 'QUERYCONNECTIONS=0')
  • RC Server settings:
    uncheck 'Confirm incoming connections'.
  • RC Server INI-file (..\Sysgem AG\SysMan Remote Control Server\SysgemRC.ini):
    set 'QuerySetting=2' in the [admin] section

Option: Do not show the connection-list on active connections

Configure either through:
  • RC Server install option:
    uncheck 'Show connection list when active' (msi-package unattended parameter, 'SHOWCONNS=0')
  • RC Server settings:
    uncheck 'Show connection list when active'.
  • RC Server INI-file (..\Sysgem AG\SysMan Remote Control Server\SysgemRC.ini):
    set 'ShowClientList=0' in the [admin] section

Option: Disable the notification-area RC-server icon

Configure either through:
  • RC Server msiexec unattended install option:
    msi-package unattended parameter, 'SHOWSTATUS=0'
  • RC Server INI-file (..\Sysgem AG\SysMan Remote Control Server\SysgemRC.ini):
    set 'DisableTrayIcon=1' in the [admin] section.
